The following article appeared on the front page of the Metro section in Utah's Deseret News. July 24th is a Utah State Holiday known as Pioneer Day in observance of the arrival of members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons), led by Brigham Young, at the site of Salt Lake City, Utah on July 24, 1847.  This holiday is celebrated in a manner equivalent to Independence Day with fireworks, parades, and other festivities.

The baby will be named Brigham Heber Moody, of course.

What else could it be for a great-great-great grandson of both Heber C. Kimball and Brigham Young who chose July 24 to be born?

Parents are Kenneth Y. Moody, 5615 Laurelwood St., a great-great grandson of Brigham Young, and Susan C. Moody, a great-great granddaughter of Heber C. Kimball.

Brigham Heber weighed in at 9 pounds 5 ounces.  Welcoming him home were brothers, Mark, 6, and Bart, 4.

Immediate grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. J. Vernon Cook, Logan, and Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Moody, Delta.
